Q: What accessories is the Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 VM Nokton II Aspherical Lens for Leica M compatible with?

The Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 VM Nokton II Aspherical Lens for Leica M comes with a front lens cap and a rear cap. Optional lens hoods, Voigtlander LH-14 Lens Hood (compact) and Voigtlander LH-15 Lens Hood (extended), are available separately and help to minimise stray light and flare. Both can be reversed for space-saving storage.

Q: Can I use filters with the Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 VM Nokton II Aspherical Lens for Leica M?

The lens features a 52 mm filter thread, a common size that supports a wide range of third-party filters for creative control or protection. Thanks to the internal focusing design, filters do not rotate during focus, making it well-suited for polarising and graduated filters.

Q: What are the key differences between the Mark I and Mark II versions of the Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 VM Nokton Aspherical Lens for Leica M?

The Mark II version is a refined update of the original, with a lighter weight (267 g compared to 315 g in the Mark I), making it more comfortable for extended handheld use. Aesthetic updates include an all-black filter ring, replacing the silver accent found on the earlier model. The optical design and imaging performance remain unchanged between versions.
