SmallRig x Potato Jet TRIBEX PRO X-Clutch Hydraulic Monopod (Basic Version) 6284

Q: How does the X-Clutch deployment system work?

Instead of unlocking each section individually, the X-Clutch mechanism uses a single handle to release all leg sections simultaneously. Once extended, the sections automatically lock into place. This significantly reduces setup time when moving between locations or responding to on-set changes.

Q: What types of heads can I use with this monopod?

The monopod features a hybrid mounting screw compatible with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16. This makes it suitable for ball heads, video heads, and many gimbal systems without requiring additional adapters. Anti-rotation pins help keep compatible accessories securely positioned.

Q: Is the monopod suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The retractable rubber foot twists open to reveal metal spikes, giving extra grip on softer or uneven ground. However, you should avoid sandy or dusty environments, as fine particles can affect the hydraulic mechanism. If the monopod gets wet, it should be dried thoroughly before storage.

Q: How portable is the TRIBEX PRO X-Clutch?

Despite supporting loads of up to 25kg, the monopod weighs approximately 1kg. It folds down to 66cm and fits into the supplied carrying bag, making it practical to pack alongside the rest of your kit when travelling between shoots.
