SmallRig Cage Kit for Sony Alpha 7R VI 6703

Q: Does the cage block access to the camera controls?

No. The cage uses precision cutouts that leave the Sony Alpha 7R VI’s buttons, dials, battery compartment, and connection ports accessible. You can continue using the camera without removing it from the cage. Silicone padding also protects the camera body from scratches where it contacts the frame.

Q: Can I move directly from a tripod to a DJI gimbal?

Yes. The integrated Arca-Swiss plate mounts directly onto compatible Arca tripod heads and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3 Mini, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 Mini, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 5 stabilisers. This feature reduces the need to swap plates or rebuild the rig when changing support systems.

Q: What accessories can I attach to the cage?

The cage includes multiple 1/4"-20 threads, ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, a cold shoe mount, a QD socket, and strap slots. These mounting points support accessories such as external monitors, microphones, LED lights, shoulder straps, and additional handles, allowing the setup to adapt as production requirements change.

Q: What is included with the Basic Cage Kit?

The kit includes the full cage, top handle, HDMI cable clamp, cold shoe support, two wrenches, a 1/4"-20 screw, and a user manual. The HDMI clamp secures the cable without tools, reducing strain on the camera's port, while the magnetic hex key built into the cage simplifies assembly and adjustments when working on location.
