Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG II Art Lens for L-Mount

Q: What is the angle of view of the Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG II L-Mount Lens?

This lens provides a 63.4° angle of view on L-Mount full-frame cameras. This field of view is well-suited for landscapes, environmental portraits, street photography, and video work that require a natural perspective.

Q: Is the Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG II Lens compatible with filters?

The lens accepts standard 72mm screw-in filters, allowing photographers and filmmakers to use ND, polarising, or protective filters with ease. It also supports optional Sigma 72mm WR Ceramic, Protector, UV, and Circular PL filters for added control and protection.

Q: Is the Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG II suitable for close-up work?

With a minimum focusing distance of 28cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.3, the lens allows you to capture detailed close-up shots. This distance makes it suitable for food, product, or environmental detail photography, where its wide aperture can still create shallow depth of field and smooth out-of-focus rendering.

Q: Does this Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG II Lens have any L-Mount-specific features?

The L-Mount edition supports switching the focus ring between linear and non-linear response, allowing precise manual focusing tailored to different shooting needs. It is also compatible with the Sigma USB Dock UD-11 (sold separately), enabling firmware updates and customisation of focus functions for added flexibility.
