Sigma 135mm f1.4 DG Art Lens for Sony E

Q: How does the dual HLA system improve focusing performance in the Sigma 135mm f1.4 DG Lens?

Each of the two focus groups has its own HLA, with different actuators optimised for the movement range of each group. This pairing delivers the thrust required for a bright telephoto and the speed to lock reliably, which helps track subtle expressions and movement. It’s also quiet, supporting hybrid photo and video use.

Q: How do I control the aperture ring on the Sigma 135mm f1.4 DG Lens?

You can de-click the aperture ring for smooth exposure adjustments or leave the clicks engaged for tactile third-stop increments. The Sigma Lens’s lock switch prevents accidental shifts when you want the body to control aperture or when stowing the lens. These controls sit alongside two assignable AFL buttons for on-lens access to key functions.

Q: What material is the Sigma 135mm f1.4 DG Lens constructed with?

Aluminium and magnesium alloys combine with TSC, a thermally stable composite with expansion properties similar to those of aluminium. This mix provides rigidity, reduces weight compared to all-metal builds, and maintains stability across temperature changes for consistent performance.

Q: Do the included accessories provide any particular features?

The LH1126-01 lens hood is made of CFRP - a carbon-fibre-reinforced polycarbonate - with a push-button lock for secure attachment and quick removal. The supplied TS-181 tripod socket is Arca-compatible and removable when you prefer handheld shooting; a protective cover is included for clean lines once detached.
