Question 2

What storage options does the Ricoh GR IV HDF have?

Accepted Answer

The Ricoh GR IV features approximately 53GB of internal memory, providing a substantial amount of storage for a compact digital camera. It is also compatible with UHS-I microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory cards for storage expansion.

Question 3

How does the Ricoh GR IV HDF handle dust on the sensor?

Accepted Answer

The GR IV is equipped with the DR II system, combining ultrasonic vibration with an anti-stain and antistatic coating applied to the UV/IR-cut filter. This dual approach significantly improves dust removal by preventing particles from sticking to the sensor surface. As a result, photographers can maintain clean image quality with fewer interruptions for manual cleaning.

Question 4

What options are available for in-camera editing?

Accepted Answer

The GR IV allows RAW development directly within the camera, enabling adjustment of parameters such as white balance, colour space, sensitivity, and shadow correction. Users can then output the processed file as a JPEG, reducing reliance on external software. Additional editing functions include cropping, resizing, level adjustment, and movie trimming.

Question 5

Can I customise the controls on the Ricoh GR IV HDF Digital Camera?

Accepted Answer

Richo’s GR IV allows extensive customisation of its controls. Functions can be assigned not only to the ADJ dial and Fn button, but also to the front and rear e-dials and the exposure compensation button, depending on the shooting mode. This flexibility enables photographers to tailor the camera to their preferred working style.

Accepted Answer

Powered by the DB-120 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the GR IV captures around 250 still images on a full charge, tested under CIPA standards.
