Question 1

How do I charge the Polaroid NOW Gen 3?

Accepted Answer

The Polaroid NOW Gen 3 features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that charges via USB-C. Simply connect the camera to a compatible USB-C power source using a USB-C cable and allow the battery to recharge before use.

Question 2

How many photographs can I take on one charge?

Accepted Answer

The integrated Lithium-Ion battery is rated for up to 15 packs of Polaroid film per charge. Actual battery performance may vary depending on flash usage and environmental conditions. The rechargeable design reduces the need for disposable batteries and supports extended everyday use. Charging should be completed before longer shooting sessions for maximum capacity.

Question 3

What film can I use with the Polaroid NOW Gen 3?

Accepted Answer

The Polaroid NOW Gen 3 accepts both Polaroid i-Type and 600 film, giving you access to Polaroid's classic full-size instant format. You can also pair the Pokémon Pokeball Edition with Polaroid i-Type Colour Pokémon Edition film, which features pastel-coloured frames with different Pokémon appearing along the bottom. Pokémon darkslides add another collectable element when you load a fresh pack.

Question 4

How should Polaroid i-Type and 600 film be stored?

Accepted Answer

Polaroid recommends storing instant film in a refrigerator until it is needed. Before loading a pack into the camera, allow it to reach room temperature. Temperature can influence colour reproduction during development, with cooler conditions potentially producing green shifts and warmer conditions potentially introducing pink tones. Correct storage helps maintain consistent results from each pack.

Question 5

Can I travel with Polaroid instant film?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but Polaroid recommends requesting a hand inspection when travelling through airport security. Instant film can be affected by X-ray scanners, which may alter image quality or damage undeveloped film. Carrying your film in hand luggage and requesting a manual inspection helps reduce this risk.

Question 6

Can I use a tripod with the Polaroid NOW Gen 3?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A built-in tripod mount lets you position the camera securely for self-timer photographs and other fixed compositions. This is particularly useful when you want to join a group photograph or take a self-portrait without somebody else operating the camera. Once the composition is set, self-timer mode gives you time to move into the frame before the photograph is taken.
