Panasonic LUMIX S 35mm f1.8 Lens

Q: How does this lens compare to the previous three fixed focal length, large-aperture f1.8 lenses released to the L-Mount system standards?

This series includes the 85mm (S-S85), 50mm (S-S50), 24mm (S-S24) and now the new 35mm (S-S35). They all feature a common size and exterior control positions to encourage a smooth, precise production workflow when switching between lens systems. To add, the centre of gravity of these lenses is also almost the same, which makes for a more hassle-free process when changing lenses on a gimbal.

Q: Does this lens feature image stabilisation?

This lens does not feature an Optical Image Stabiliser. However, when paired with the likes of Panasonic’s S1H professional mirrorless camera, you’ll be able to capture smooth, shake-free footage.

Q: Is this lens suited to taking high-quality portraits?

As this is a high-end 35mm lens, it is incredibly versatile and well-suited to everything from expansive landscape photography to close-up portrait work.

Q: Is this lens compatible with the Leica Q2 Digital Camera?

The Panasonic LUMIX S 35mm f1.8 Lens is designated as an L-Mount lens, which means that it is compatible with the full range of Leica cameras to include the Leica Q2.
