Question 1

Can I control the PavoSlim 240CL without cables?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The PavoSlim 240CL includes multiple wireless control options to fit different setups. The built-in 2.4G module connects easily to the NanLink 2.0 app for intuitive lighting adjustment on mobile devices, while LumenRadio CRMX enables stable wireless DMX integration for professional multi-light rigs. A handheld remote controller is also supported for quick, direct access to brightness and colour settings without needing a phone or console connection.

Question 2

How accurate is the PavoSlim 240CL’s colour reproduction?

Accepted Answer

NanLite’s RGBWW system in the PavoSlim 240CL achieves exceptional colour accuracy across a wide CCT range of 2700K to 7500K, with green/magenta fine-tuning of ±150 for precise matching to other sources. It maintains an average CRI of 96 and TLCI of 97, along with TM-30 Rf 94 and Rg 100 values, ensuring natural skin tones and faithful colour rendering on camera. This consistency makes it suitable for high-end production work where lighting accuracy is critical.

Question 3

Does the PavoSlim 240CL support battery operation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The fixture can run on 14.4-26V V-mount batteries, offering full brightness even when powered off-grid. NanLite’s efficient circuit design supports hot-swapping between AC, DC, and battery power, allowing users to change power sources without interrupting a shoot. This flexibility makes the PavoSlim 240CL well suited to both studio use and location work where mains power may not be available.

Question 4

Is a softbox included with the NanLite PavoSlim 240CL LED RGBWW Panel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The PavoSlim 240CL includes a quick-release softbox pre-mounted to the fixture for immediate setup. The design uses hook-and-loop fasteners for fast attachment and compression storage, while the included eggcrate fits securely with an elastic strap. Two diffusers are provided, Lite and Standard, offering adjustable softness levels. Everything packs neatly into the supplied reinforced carrying case, which also has space for the control unit and cables.
