Question 1

How compact is the Luna Ultra?

Accepted Answer

Despite housing a dual-lens camera system, integrated 3-axis gimbal, and detachable touchscreen and remote, Luna Ultra remains easy to carry and shoot with throughout the day. It measures 52.4 x 169.9 x 38.5mm, making it slim enough to slip into a jacket pocket or small bag when travelling. The Cosmic Black version weighs approximately 233g.

Question 2

Can I switch between wide and telephoto scenes while shooting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luna Ultra combines a dedicated 1-inch Leica Summicron wide lens with a separate telephoto lens, allowing you to switch between perspectives on a single device. Five focal lengths are available directly in the interface, covering everything from wider scenes to tighter compositions. The telephoto system reaches a 120mm-equivalent focal length with 6x lossless zoom, then extends to a 240mm-equivalent view at 12x when additional reach is needed. This approach avoids the inconvenience of swapping lenses or carrying multiple cameras when your framing requirements change quickly.

Question 3

How does Luna Ultra perform in low light?

Accepted Answer

Luna Ultra uses a triple-AI-chip system consisting of a flagship 4nm processor and two dedicated imaging chips to process image data more effectively in low-light conditions. Combined with the 1-inch sensor and f1.8 aperture of the main camera, it supports PureVideo recording at up to 4K60fps for improved low-light clarity. PureVideo reduces visible noise while lifting shadow detail and brightness to preserve more of the scene in challenging lighting conditions, making the camera more capable when shooting at night, indoors or in other demanding environments.

Question 4

Can Luna Ultra record high-frame-rate slow motion?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In addition to 8K30 and 4K120 recording, Luna Ultra supports Full HD recording at up to 240fps. Capturing more frames each second allows fast movement to be slowed significantly while maintaining smooth playback, which can be useful for sports, action sequences or adding dramatic emphasis to fleeting moments.

Question 5

How long does the battery last, and how quickly can it recharge?

Accepted Answer

The integrated 1550mAh battery provides approximately 4 hours of recording at 1080p24fps or around 2.5 hours at 4K60fps. When power runs low, PD fast charging replenishes the battery to around 80% in approximately 25 minutes, reducing downtime between shoots. Luna Ultra also includes 47GB of built-in storage, allowing you to continue recording without immediately relying on external memory cards.

Question 6

Does Luna Ultra offer creative shooting modes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luna Ultra includes timelapse modes that condense longer moments into shareable sequences, 360° Panorama capture and 200MP Scenic Panorama modes that automatically stitch wider scenes into detailed still images, and Barrel Roll mode, which uses the integrated 3-axis gimbal to create smooth rotational movements for more dynamic and cinematic video footage.
