Accepted Answer

Yes, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes gesture control for hands-free operation. When enabled, you can use a palm gesture to start or stop ActiveTrack, or a V gesture to take a photo or begin recording. Gestures need to be performed within approximately 2 metres of the camera and within clear view of the lens for reliable recognition.

Question 2

How good is the battery life on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P?

Accepted Answer

Battery performance depends on recording settings and usage, particularly when shooting high-resolution video or using wireless features. Under standard conditions, the Osmo Pocket 4P provides up to 210 minutes of operating time. Charging reaches approximately 80% in 18 minutes and 100% in 32 minutes, with LED indicators showing progress at each stage.

Question 3

What is the gimbal's mechanical range for pan and tilt?

Accepted Answer

The gimbal provides a controllable range of -235° to 58° for pan, -120° to 70° for tilt, and -45° to 45° for roll, defining the limits within which movement can be actively adjusted during shooting. The full mechanical range extends beyond this, spanning -240° to 63° for pan, -180° to 98° for tilt, and -220° to 63° for roll.

Question 4

Does the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P have creative presets or filters?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes a range of in-camera creative tools to adjust the appearance of photos and videos. Film Tone provides a selection of colour presets that recreate a range of photographic styles directly in-camera. Beautify lets you adjust skin smoothness, brightness, and tone, while Glamour Effects can be applied in the DJI Mimo app for additional portrait adjustments.

Question 5

How do I transfer files from the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P?

Accepted Answer

Files can be transferred either wirelessly or via cable. When connected to the DJI Mimo app, you can preview and download footage directly to a mobile device. Question 6

Can I expand the storage on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes 103GB of built-in storage and also supports expansion via microSD cards. A compatible high-speed card is required to maintain consistent recording performance at higher resolutions and frame rates. Use a card that meets DJI’s stated speed-class requirements for the selected recording mode.

Question 7

How do I update the firmware?

Accepted Answer

Firmware updates are handled through the DJI Mimo app. When a new version is available, a prompt will appear within the app, allowing you to start the update process directly. Connect the camera to the app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, follow the on-screen instructions and ensure the connection remains stable throughout. If an update fails, restart both the camera and the app before reconnecting.

Question 8

How does the fill light attach to the Osmo Pocket 4P?

Accepted Answer

The fill light attaches magnetically to the Osmo Pocket 4P, locking into position without needing a separate mount. Once connected, it rotates in sync with the gimbal, keeping the light direction consistent as you pan or tilt. This accessory makes a noticeable difference when filming handheld, especially for selfies or walk-and-talk footage.

Question 9

What is the maximum transmission distance of the DJI Mic Mini 2?

Accepted Answer

The system supports transmission distances of up to 400 metres when used with a receiver under optimal conditions.
