DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Fill Light

Q: How does the fill light attach to the Osmo Pocket 4?

The fill light attaches magnetically to the Osmo Pocket 4, locking into position without needing a separate mount. Once connected, it rotates in sync with the gimbal, keeping the light direction consistent as you pan or tilt. This accessory makes a noticeable difference when filming handheld, especially for selfies or walk-and-talk footage.

Q: Can I adjust brightness and colour temperature during recording?

Yes, both brightness and colour temperature can be controlled directly through the camera. You get three levels of each, letting you shift between warm, neutral, and cool light as needed. It’s quick to adjust and doesn’t interrupt recording, which helps when moving between lighting conditions.

Q: Is the light strong enough for low-light shooting?

It’s not designed to light a full scene, but at close distances it makes a clear difference. At a typical selfie or arms-length range, it softens shadows and evens out exposure, letting you keep ISO lower. That results in cleaner footage with less visible noise, particularly indoors or at night.

Q: Does it affect handling or balance on the Osmo Pocket 4?

At under 17 grams, this fill light is barely noticeable in use. The magnetic connection keeps it tidy and close to the body, so it doesn’t throw off balance or make the gimbal feel front-heavy.

Q: Can I manually adjust the angle of the fill light?

The light is designed to align with the gimbal, so it keeps a consistent direction as you move. While there’s a small amount of physical give, it isn’t intended for manual positioning, and forcing it can loosen the connection and interrupt power. It’s also worth keeping a sensible distance from your subject, as positioning it too close can introduce glare.
