DJI Osmo Mobile 8

Q: How long does the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 operate on a full charge?

The gimbal provides approximately 10 hours of operation per charge, measured in a balanced, stationary state. This battery life allows for extended recording sessions or livestreaming without interruption. It can also charge a connected phone through its USB-C output port during use.

Q: Can the Osmo Mobile 8 track multiple people at once?

Yes. Using ActiveTrack 7.0 in the DJI Mimo app, the gimbal automatically detects multiple faces or subjects. You can tap to switch between them, and Dual Lens Boost helps maintain focus even if a subject moves out of frame temporarily. This feature makes it highly reliable for group filming or events.

Q: Does the Multifunctional Module need to be attached to the Osmo Mobile 8 for tracking?

The OM Multifunctional Module is required for human and pet tracking, as well as lighting and audio input. Once connected, it allows the gimbal to track people, cats, and dogs with high precision and integrates with compatible microphones for direct audio capture. The module connects directly to DJI Mic 2, Mic 3, and Mic Mini transmitters. This ensures stable transmission and synchronised audio capture, making it suitable for vlogging, interviews, and live streaming with professional sound quality.

Q: Can I control the zoom and focus while recording?

Yes. The side wheel on the gimbal handle allows manual adjustment of zoom and focus during recording. It offers smooth, variable-speed control for creative transitions and will enable users to shift focus or adjust framing mid-shot without touching the phone screen.
