Question 1

How does the DJI Mic 3 support 4-channel output?

Accepted Answer

The DJI Mic 3 receiver features a Quadrophonic mode that enables the independent output of four audio tracks when paired with select Sony cameras or compatible computer software. Using this mode, you can enjoy accurate track separation and flexible mixing for more control in post-production.

Question 2

How long does it take to charge the DJI Mic 3 transmitter, receiver, and charging case?

Accepted Answer

Both the transmitter and receiver require approximately 50 minutes to charge fully. The charging case itself takes about 1.5 hours to reach full charge. This quick charge time ensures minimal downtime, so you can get back to recording without delay, especially when working on tight schedules or during long shoots.

Question 3

What is the maximum transmission distance of the DJI Mic 3?

Accepted Answer

The DJI Mic 3 offers a maximum transmission range of 400 metres in an open, unobstructed environment with no interference. In a high-interference scenario, such as crowded events or areas with many wireless signals, the range is reduced to about 80 metres. This reliable transmission distance ensures clear audio capture even in larger spaces or more challenging environments.

Question 4

What DJI Mic 3’s polar pattern?

Accepted Answer

The DJI Mic 3 features an omnidirectional microphone, which captures sound equally from all directions. This polar pattern makes it ideal for general use in various environments, as it captures audio from the subject without requiring precise directional placement. Whether in front of or around the microphone, it ensures clear and natural sound capture.
