Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro 2TB

Q: Can the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro be used as a webcam input?

Yes, the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro includes USB-C webcam support that allows it to connect to any video software as a high-quality camera source. The connected computer recognises it as a standard webcam, while it's actually delivering professional SDI or HDMI video. This makes it perfect for software like Zoom, OBS, Teams, and more.

Q: What recording media does the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro support?

The HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro records to SD and UHS-II cards, M.2 SSDs, USB-C drives, and network storage via 10G Ethernet. You can also connect a Blackmagic MultiDock for multi-SSD workflows. This version includes a 2TB M.2 card for high-speed cache recording up to 16 Gb/s, ideal for demanding formats. H.264/265 compression allows for extended recording times even on smaller media.

Q: Is it compatible with editing and VFX software?

Yes. HyperDeck records in broadcast-standard formats like ProRes and DNx, making it compatible with DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and more. Files can be edited directly from the recording media without transcoding or transfers.

Q: Does the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro support HDR monitoring?

The 7" screen supports Rec. 709, Rec. 2020, and DCI-P3 colour spaces with automatic HDR format detection. It handles PQ and HLG metadata in accordance with ST2084, and the display adjusts scope overlays and monitoring accordingly.

Q: How does Blackmagic Cloud integration work?

The HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro can be fitted with an M.2 card to act as shared network storage, syncing proxy media in real time. Editors using DaVinci Resolve can start working immediately, even while recording is in progress. This greatly accelerates post-production for remote teams.
